The primary aim of Gunk Maps is to provide a geographic overview of the Shawangunk Ridge and its associated communities in Ulster County, Sullivan County, and Orange County, New York.

It also explores closely related regions such as the Kittatinny ridge, Catskills, Hudson Highlands, and other areas of interest.
